About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Orla, welcome to my page. I have been working in the field of mental health for 10 years and have a private psychotherapy practice in South East London.

I am an integrative therapist, which means that my style of therapy can be adapted according to your unique needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship is key. I can offer you a safe and understanding space in which you can explore whatever it is that is on your mind. No problem is too small or too big, because you matter.

As a counsellor, I am all too aware of how daunting it can be to take that first step towards counselling. If you are reading this page, well done for getting this far.

Sometimes in life we can start to feel stressed or overwhelmed and we need some help, someone to listen. It isn’t always possible to work out what we need or how to feel more whole on our own.

Counselling is a process of discovering yourself. It can be exciting, but also scary. I practice with curiosity, creativity, spirituality and empathy to help you unfold your story and have a space that honours you and your process. In terms of creative tools, I use dramatic role play, music, drawing and anything that helps you with your expression. These are of course just tools, if you would just like to engage in traditional talking therapy this is fine also. I am down to earth in my approach and aim to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible.

I also run therapy groups. Please inquire if you feel this would be of help to you.

The initial session will be an opportunity for you to discuss with me what your concerns are and what you would like to explore in counselling. If it feels like a good fit, we can arrange for further sessions.

3 concessionary places are available at all times for people on low incomes and trainee counselling students.
